Description/Scope
The Nigeria Journal of Ecolinguistics and Environmental Discourse (NJEED)
is a quarterly international journal that focuses on ecological linguistics and
environmental discourse. The journal publishes refereed research papers that
include qualitative, quantitative, mixed and post-qualitative, as well as
philosophical and theoretical analyses.
Specifically, the journal publishes articles on the role
of language in the life-sustaining relationships of humans, other species and
the physical environment. It also
covers studies that
are out to disseminate information and implement communicative practices that
are related to the environment. On the need for a
healthy environment, NJEED also accept articles that explore environmental
issues that engage in problem solving which take action to improve the environment and make informed
decisions about the environmental ethnics and
justice. The journal equally publishes
creative works that promote ecological awareness and analyses of such
works. Manuscripts may be
disciplinary or interdisciplinary, and while many will come from within the
areas of the humanities and social sciences, Education and environmental
related studies.
Guidelines
Contributors
are invited to submit articles with a clear statement of the research context.
Authors are advised to set out the background in formulating their research
questions and include a description and justification of the research
methodology and data collection methods. Data findings are to be presented
clearly to an international audience. Critical analysis and discussion of
results in light of contemporary research should be articulated.
Recommendations should be relevant to the research context. Papers are judged
on their merits as demonstrations of sound scholarship across diverse
methodological and representational approaches for broad audiences of primarily
scholars and policymakers.
Ensure
that the abstract should not exceed 200-words and 3 to 6 keywords. The full
paper should not exceed 8000 words. Your
paper will be forwarded to reviewers as a blind submission.
The authors of the papers
presented during the international conference organized by the Nigeria Ecolinguistics Association in collaboration with the
International Ecolinguistics Association held from 7- 8 December, 2020 are hereby specially requested to make
submissions. This will be a special edition of the conference papers and others
well researched articles.

be accepted for review. Articles are peer reviewed before publication. Once
